Kenya has many airlines that make travelling within the country very easy and fast. Most of the airlines in Kenya offer both regular and hartered flights whidh are popular for residents and tourists on Safaris. Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways is one of the most popular and respected airline companies in Africa. Its currently rollin an ambitious plan of acquiring boeing 787 Dreamliner airplanes. They intend to expand their cargo services too during this period. Kenya Airways is a modern quality airline with a good safety record. Its known as the pride of Africa.

Air Kenya

Air Kenya is a small airline company in Kenya with good safety record Air Kenya it operates chartered and scheduled flights between Kenyan cities and the safari parks and other popular tourist destinations. It also serves some destinations in neighbouring countries.

The airline's Safaris destinations include Masai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu, Meru and Nanyuki. The Airline also flies tourists and clients as far as Addis Ababa, Khartoum, Asmara, Djibouti, the Seychelles or even further. Jetlink Express

This airline offers both domestic and international flights, they also offer charter services. Their main airport is Jomo Kenyatta International airport; you can fly to many Kenya locations with JetLink but also to southern Sudan, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Upcoming expansion includes regular routes to Tanzania and Rwanda. The JetLink fleet is made up of 3 jets: 2 Canadair regional jets and a Fokker 28.

Fly540

Fly540 for a long  time has been the only airline in Kenya that operates low-cost passenger flights, and it is also a freight carrier. This Kenya airline has been in operation since the end of 2006. Originally, they only operated scheduled flights between Nairobi and Mombasa. Their fleet now has 5 planes and they have expanded their routes to include cities like Eldoret, Kisumu, Lamu and the Masai Mara.

African Express Airways

Another Kenyan airline that operates out of Jomo Kenyatta airport is African Express Airways. It offers limited domestic and international flights. The international flights are all within Africa. It was originally partnered with African Airlines International but separated into an independent company in 1999.

Mombasa Air Safaris
Mombasa Air Safaris is a small coastal Kenya airline that caters for tourists on safaris. This airline have daily scheduled flights from Mombasa, Diani beach and Malindi arriving in Lamu, Masai Mara and Amboseli. Their routes and schedules are designed to help you make the most of your time while seeing the Kenyan sights. They can also arrange tour packages and complete safaris. All their planes are small but modern turbo-prop style.



SafariLink
SafariLink is another African Safari Airline that operates a number of interconnecting flight routes to take tourists to the various safari locations throughout Kenya, like Amboseli, Samburu, Masai Mara, Lamu and Tsavo. If their scheduled flights don't fit your itinerary, they do offer chartered flights. All the planes are prop-driven, mainly Cessnas, Twin Otters and a Dash 8.
